About Us

Our Values

Our business is rooted in our values from the ground up. We move beyond aspirational values, or who we hope to be, and show how we practice our values in our day to day.

Our Values

Service

We accept our greater responsibility to contribute to the world, fulfill our commitments, and engage servant leadership to support the goals and dreams of others.

Examples of how we practice this value:

  • Coaching sessions provided to up and coming leaders from equity deserving communities at discounted or no cost (35 hours in 2022, 39 in 2023, 31 in 2024, 52 in 2025)
  • Internal mentoring structure for practicum students, parents on maternity leave, and migrant workers (3 in 2022, 2 in 2023, 3 in 2024, 1 in 2025)
  • Living wages for employees, and above market consulting rates for all contractors
  • Sustainable project design that decreases our client’s reliance on our services and builds their internal capacity
Our Values

Audacity

We have the courage to imagine beyond barriers. We act with boldness, engage radical candor, embrace appreciative failure, and ignite growth in ourselves and others.

Examples of how we practice this value:

  • Select to work with industries that have had less attention, have been suppressed and oppressed, or are considered fringe or too difficult to transform
  • Challenge our clients to prioritize internal alignment, or an inside-out approach, as the foundation for responsible action
  • Contract lived experience leaders using an ethical inclusion and compensation structure in projects involving equity deserving communities (9 in 2022, 11 in 2023, 9 in 2024, and 5 in 2025)
  • Provide education in topics that address root causes and behavioral dynamics such as psychological safety, trauma informed practice, and gender equity.
Our Values

Soul

We are fully alive and electric about our work, purpose, and relationships, and believe organizations can and should have a soul. We strive to be, and build organizations rooted in character, ethics, and values.

Examples of how we practice this value:

  • Discounted or pro-bono consulting services to Indigenous communities and non-profit organizations ($35,892 discounted in 2022, $44,812 discounted in 2023, $51,211 in 2024, $31,456 in 2025)
  • Exercise ethical storytelling within our teams by supporting and protecting intersectional identities, and being intentional about the stories we share about our work
  • Center well-rounded perspectives in our programs, including wisdom from communities of lived experiences such as Indigenous communities, communities of color, queer and disabled communities, alongside interdisciplinary approaches.
  • Commit a minimum of 15% of our net income into SRI, ESG, and impact investing (27.2% in 2022, 28.9% in 2023, 17% in 2024, 15% in 2025)
  • Developed and manage the Iolanda Violini Scholarship Fund, an educational investment supporting equity-deserving students, including Survivors of human trafficking and Indigenous students, through The Salvation Army and UBC Sauder’s Ch’nook Indigenous Business Education Programs
